THERMOPLASTIC MULTI-LAYER PACKAGING FILM AND BAGS MADE THEREFROM ABSTRACT A thermoplastic multi-layer packaging film is disclosed comprising an outer polymer layer, a central layer acting as oxygen barrier and an inner heat sealing layer. The heat sealing layer comprises an ethylene /alpha-olefin copolymer wherein the alpha olefin has 4 to 8 carbon atoms per molecule and its content in the copolymer ranges of from x to y% by weight wherein x = 0.5 nC + 8 and y = 1.25 nC + 15, wherein nC is the number of carbon atoms in the alpha-olefin. The copolymer of the heat sealing layer has a density of less than 920 kg/m3.
