The polydiorganosiloxane copolycarbonates are conforming structurally to Image (Ia) wherein p is an integer of from 1 to about 10, n is an integer of from 1 to about 1000, m is an integer of from 1 to about 500, A is a derivative of an aromatic dihydroxy compound, R and R' independently denote a C1-C20 alkyl radical or a C6-C14 aryl radical, which copolymer is characterized in that its relative viscosity measured on a solution of 0.5 g in 100 ml of dichloromethane at 25°C is at least 1.15.
