2044597 9008797 PCTABS00001 The present invention relates to thermoplastic polyimide and polyketone elastomers which are characterized by high temperature resistance and high fuel, oil and chemical resistance. These elastomers are particularly useful in the automotive industry where they may be used to mold hydraulic hose, pulleys, brackets, engine mounts and the like. A thermoplastic polymer having a repeating unit of the formula (I), (II), (III) or (IV), where LG is a linking group and W is an oligomeric chain selected from the group consisting of polyether, a polythioether, polycarbonyl, or polysulfonyl, or a copolymer thereof.
