ABSTRACT A thermoplastic resin composition comprises 80 to 95 wt% of polycarbonate resin and 5 to 20 wt% of poly-p-methylstrene. The novel composition is useful in a number of areas to which "engineering plastics" are commonly applied, for example, parts of household appliances and electronic equipment, lenses of signals, electric machines, automotive and aircraft parts, optical instruments, tableware, kitchenware, and cosmetics containers. The novel composition has improved properties of fluidity, stiffness and ductility by comparison with prior-art polycarbonate compositions, these properties being desirable for certain applications and being achieved without decrease in clarity and heat resistance.
