A thermosetting composition comprising a co-reactable solid, particulate mixture of (a) epoxy functional polymer, and (b) co-reactant having functional groups reactive with the epoxy groups of (a), e.g., dodecanedioic acid, is described. The epoxy functional polymer is prepared by atom transfer radical polymerization and has well defined polymer chain architecture and polydispersity index of less than 2.5. The thermosetting compositions of the present invention have utility as powder coatings compositions.
La présente invention concerne une composition thermodurcissable renfermant un mélange co-réactif de particules solides qui comprend (a) un polymère fonctionnel époxy et (b) un agent co-réagissant dont les groupes fonctionnels réagissent avec les groupes époxy de (a), l'acide dodécanedioïque notamment. Le polymère fonctionnel époxy est obtenu par polymérisation radicalaire à transfert d'atomes, présente une architecture à chaîne bien définie et un indice de polydispersion inférieur à 2,5. Les compositions thermodurcissables selon l'invention conviennent bien pour les revêtements en poudre.
