A thermosetting composition comprises (A) a compound having in the molecule two or more carboxyl groups blocked by a vinyl ether compound, a vinyl thioether compound or a hetero compound having a vinyl type double bond and oxygen or sulfur as the hetero atom, (B) a compound having in the molecule two or more reactive functional groups which can form chemical bonds with the blocked carboxyl groups, and (C) a dispersing component of at least one inorganic oxide sol selected from the group consisting of aluminium oxide sol, silica sol, zirconium oxide sol and antimony oxide sol, and optionally (D) a thermal latent acid catalyst which is activated during curing the composition by heating. A method of coating and a coated article comprise applying the composition. The obtained paint film has excellent weathering resistance, stain resistance, stain-removing property, chemical resistance, moisture resistance and excellent appearance.
Cette invention concerne une composition thermodurcissable contenant les éléments suivants en qualité d'ingrédients principaux: (A) un composé dont la molécule comprend au moins deux groupes carboxyle bloqués par un groupe hétérocyclique possédant un groupe éther de vinyle, un groupe thio éther de vinyle, ou une double liaison vinylique contenant un hétéroatome oxygène ou soufre; (B) un composé dont la molécule comprend au moins deux groupes fonctionnels réactifs capables de former une liaison chimique avec le groupe fonctionnel susmentionné; et (C) une dispersion d'un ou de plusieurs sols d'oxyde non organique choisis parmi des sols d'oxyde d'aluminium, d'oxyde de silicium, d'oxyde de zirconium et d'oxyde d'antimoine. Cette composition peut éventuellement contenir (D) un catalyseur acide latent sur le plan thermique et devenant actif lors du durcissement thermique. Les films de revêtement obtenus à partir de cette composition possèdent non seulement une excellente apparence, mais aussi des qualités de résistance aux intempéries, à la coloration, aux produits chimiques, à l'humidité, et aux taches.
