Image Abstract of the Disclosure A line voltage wall thermostat is disclosed in which a control switch unit and a thermally responsive member are mounted on a support base which extends between them. The thermally responsive member moves relative to the base in response to sensed temperature changes and actuates the switch unit when it moves. The switch unit generates heat when it is conductive and the base provides a heat shield which isolates the thermally responsive member from the switch heat. A temperature set point selector assembly permits adjustment of the position of the thermally responsive member relative to the base to alter the sensed temperature at which the switch is operated. An anticipator heater is supported by the thermo- stat for conducting heat generated by the switch to the thermally responsive member.
