A temperature derivative sensing and regulating device and method is described which facilitates the maintenance of a very stable isothermal environment for an item, apparatus or facility or a constant rate of temperature change. The device comprises a block (6) of material having no internal heat sources, a thermal conductivity greater than 100 Wm1K-1 and a specific heat capacity greater than 400JK-1kg-1. The block (6) is surrounded by means for measuring the heat flow to and from the block (6) and the device is further provided with means for generating a signal proportional to said heat flow and means for interfacing with the controller of a heating or cooling means associated with the item, apparatus or facility.

Procédé et dispositif de régulation et de détection d'une dérivée de température, permettant de faciliter l'entretien d'un milieu isotherme très stable autour d'un objet, d'un appareil ou d'une installation, ou celui d'un taux constant de variation de la température. Le dispositif comporte un bloc (6) de matière ne possédant aucune source de chaleur interne et présentant une conductibilité thermique supérieure à 100 Wm<1>K<-1> ainsi qu'une capacité thermique massique supérieure à 400 JK<-1>kg<-1>. Le bloc (6) est entouré d'un ensemble de mesure du flux thermique en direction du bloc (6) et en provenance de celui-ci, et le dispositif est également pourvu d'un ensemble destiné à produire un signal représentatif de ce flux thermique, ainsi qu'un ensemble interface relié à l'unité de commande d'un appareil de chauffage ou de refroidissement associé à l'objet, à l'appareil ou à l'installation.
