PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: La présente invention concerne des copolyesters thermotropes conformables de haute masse moléculaire. Ce copolyesters sont constitués d'unités de formule: (-0-X1-O-)a, (-O-X2-O-)b, (-O-X3-O-)c, -CO-Y-CO , -CO-Z-CO , dans lesquelles X1 représente un radical paraphénylène monosubstitué, X2 un radical phénylène-1,4 non substitué, X3 un radical paraphénylène disubstitué, un radical diphénylène-4,4' ou un radical p-p'- diphénylène éther, avec 0,4?a?1, 0?b?0,6, 0?c?0,1 et a+b +c=1, Y représente un radical cyclohexylène-1,4, un radical ayant deux groupes phénylène reliés entre eux par une liaison simple ou une chaîne acyclique, ou un radical aromatique divalent ayant au moins deux noyaux phényles condensés, Z re- présente un radical -(CH2)n- avec 3?n?10, le rapport molaire Z/Y + Z étant compris entre 20 et 50%. Ces polyesters per- mettent d'obtenir des objets moulés, fils et films.
