- 1 - Abstract The present invention is directed to tetrahydro-1,3,5-thiadiazin-4-ones of the following general formula (I) or salts thereof. Image (I) wherein each of R1 and R2 represents a halogen atom or a C1-4 alkyl group, R3 represents a C1-4 haloalkyloxy group, a C2-5 haloalkyloxymethyl group, a C2-4 haloalkenyloxy group, a C1-4 haloalkylthio group, a C2-5 haloalkylthiomethyl group, a C2-4 haloalkenylthio group, a C2-8 haloalkyl group, a C2-8 haloalkenyl group, a C2-9 alkyloxycarbonyl group, a substituted phenoxycarbonyl group or a substituted pyridyloxy group, m is 0, 1, 2 or 3, and n is 0, 1, 2 or 3. These novel thiadiazines are produced by reacting a compound of the following general formula (II) Image (II) wherein R1 and m are as defined above, with a compound represented by the following formula (III) Image (III) wherein R2, R3 and n are as defined above, and are useful as a component of an insecticidal and acaricidal agent.
