ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A novel thiazole derivative represented by the following general formula [1] and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof: Image [l] wherein A is a single bond, a straight-chained or branched lower alkylene group or a straight-chained or branched lower alkenylene group; B is a single bond or -CO-; R1 is a carboxy group or -CON(R7)OR8 (R7 and R8 are independently of each other a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group); R2 is a lower alkyl group; R3 and R4 are independently of each other a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group or a lower alkoxycarbonyl group; R5 is a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom; and R6 is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a hydroxy group, a lower alkoxy group, a thiol group, a lower alkylthio group, a lower alkylsulfinyl group, a lower alkylsulfonyl group, a nitro group, an amino group, a substituted amino group, a cyano group, a carboxy group or an acyl group. The compounds of the present invention are useful as therapeutic or preventive drugs for autoimmune diseases and inflammatory diseases.
