A thick and thin polyester multifilament yarn having an excellent natural fiber yarn-like hand, a dry touch and spun yarn-like appearance includes a plurality of individual thick and thin polyester multifilaments varying in thickness along the longitudinal direction thereof and exhibits a spectrum having a first peak (Pmax1) of a coefficient of variation in yarn thickness of 4 to 10 cm, a second peak (Pmax2) of the yarn thickness variation coefficient of 50 to 150 cm and a ratio (Pmax1/ Pmax2) of 1.5 to 4.0, measured by the normal mode test method using the Uster evenness tester.
L'invention porte sur un fil multifilament de polyester épais et mince ayant un toucher excellent semblable à celui d'un fil en fibre naturelle, un aspect sec au toucher et l'apparence d'un filé. Ce fil comprend une pluralité de multifilaments de polyester individuels épais et minces dont l'épaisseur varie dans le sens longitudinal et présente un spectre dont le coefficient de variation en épaisseur de la première crête (Pmax1) est compris entre 4 et 10 cm, et celui de la seconde crête (Pmax2) entre 50 et 150 cm, et a un rapport (Pmax1/ Pmax2) de 1,5 à 4,0, mesuré selon le procédé normal de test de mode au moyen du régularimètre Uster.
