A compound of formula (I), wherein R is hydrogen or C2-6 alkanoyl; X is halogen; and ring A is benzene ring which is optionally substituted by 1 to 4 substituents selected from (1) halogen, (2) hydroxy, (3) C1-6 alkoxy optionally substituted by halogen or phenyl, (4) C1-6 alkylthio optionally substituted by halogen or phenyl, (5) C1-6alkyl optionally substituted by halogen, (6) C2-6 alkanoylamino or (7) carboxy optionally esterified by C1-6 alkyl, or a salt thereof; which can be used for preventing or treating inflammatory disease, arthritis, chronic rheumatoid arthritis, autoimmune diseases, or rejection after organ transplantation.

Cette invention, qui a trait à un composé correspondant à la formule (I), formule dans laquelle R représente un hydrogène ou un alcanoyle comportant de 2 à 6 atomes de carbone, X représente un halogène et le noyau A représente un noyau benzénique éventuellement substitué par un nombre de substituants, allant de un à quatre, sélectionnés dans le groupe constitué par, (1), un halogène, (2), un hydroxy, (3), un alcoxy éventuellement substitué par un halogène ou un phényle, (4), un alkylthio éventuellement substitué par un halogène ou un phényle, (5), un alkyl comportant de 1 à 6 atomes de carbone éventuellement substitué par un halogène, (6), un alcanoyl-amino ou (7), un carboxy éventuellement estérifié par un alkyl comportant de 1 à 6 atomes carbone, concerne également un sel de ce composé. Il est possible d'utiliser ce composé pour prévenir ou traiter des maladies inflammatoires, l'arthrite, la polyarthrite rhumatoïde chronique ainsi que des maladies auto-immunes ou le phénomène de rejet faisant suite à une transplantation d'organe.
