PS/5-17788/= Thienylthioureas,-isothioureas and-carbodiimides Abstract The novel substituted 3-thienylthioureas, -isothioureas and -carbodiimides of formula I Image (I), in which R1 is C1-C12alkyl, Cl-C4alkyl substituted by a C3-C6cycloalkyl radical,C3-C8cycloalkyl, or C3-C6cycloalkyl substituted by a C1-C4alkyl radical; R2, R3 and R4 are each, independently of the others, hydrogen, C1-C6alkyl, phenyl, or phenyl substituted by from 1 to 3 radicals from the group halogen, C1-C6alkyl, C1-C4alkoxy and C1-C6haloalkyl having from 1 to 9 halogen atoms; Z is a group -NH-CS-NH-,- N=C(SR5)-NH- or -N=C=N-; and Rs is C1-C6,alkyl or C3-C5alkenyl; with the provisothat at least one of the radicals R2, R3 and R4 is other than hydrogen; and the salts of compounds of formula I in which Z is the group -N=C(SRs)-NH-, have valuable pesticidal properties. Compositions containing those compounds, processes for the preparation thereof and their use as pesticides, especially as insecticides and acaricides in agriculture, are described.
