PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: L'invention vise des couches minces d'aluminium polycristallin, obtenues notamment par pulvérisation cathodique en atmosphère d'argon contenant un gaz susceptible de donner, dans la décharge, des ions azote ou carbone, tels qu'azote moléculaire et méthane. Les couches contiennent l'élément d'addition, carbone ou azote, en solution d'insertion. La teneur en élément d'addition peut être comprise entre 9 et 110 atomes pour mille d'aluminium, et de façon très préférentielle entre 29 et 36 atomes pour mille d'aluminium, cette teneur correspondant à une saturation de la solution d'insertion, qui entraîne un maximum de dureté et un minimum de résistance de contact, comme on le voit à la figure annexée. Ces couches se prêtent à la réalisation de contacts électriques.
