ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A regenerated cellulose sausage casing is disclosed which has a basis weight. wall thickness and plasticizer content substantially lower than that of casing products produced in the normal manner by the viscose process but has sufficient strength and flexibility characteristics to undergo high speed commercial shirring and meat stuffing operations with a minimum of breakage and pinholing.
