ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Two thiomarinol derivatives, which have antibacterial and anti-mycoplasmal properties, are obtainable from microorganisms of the genus Alteromonas and are named "thiomarinol B" and "thiomarinol C". Thiomarinol B can also be prepared by the oxidation of thiomarinol.
