THIONYL PHOSPHAZENE POLYMERS A b s t r a c t The new thionyl phosphazene polymers, which contain recurring structural units corresponding to the following formula Image are prepared by ring-opening polymerization of cyclothion chlorophosphazene corresponding to the following formula Image at temperatures of 100 to 300°C in the presence of an inert organic solvent and reaction of the polymer thus obtained, which corresponds to the following formula Image with salts corresponding to the following formula M(R1-R5) Le A 28 231 - Foreign Countries in the presence of an inert organic solvent at temperatures of 20 to 200°C. The new thionyl phosphazene polymers may be used for the production of thermoplastics, elastomers or thermosets. Le A 28 231
