An improved end-working attachment (30) for a screw machine or a rotary transfer machine is particularly suited for use in rolling threads on a workpiece. The attachment broadly comprises: a slide base (31) having an axis (y-y); at least two members (32, 32) mounted on the slide base for sliding movement in a radial direction toward and away from the slide base axis; a tool, such as a thread die (33), on each member; an infeed mechanism (34) for selectively causing the slide members to move toward the slide base axis such that said tools will engage said workpiece; and a return mechanism (35) for urging the members to move away from the slide base axis.

L'invention concerne un accessoire (30) à travail d'extrémité amélioré, destiné à un tour à décolleter ou à une machine de transfert rotative, particulièrement adapté pour effectuer un filetage par roulage sur une pièce. La fixation comprend une base coulissante (31) dotée d'un axe (y-y); au moins deux éléments (32, 32) montés sur ladite base coulissante afin de se déplacer par coulissement dans un sens radial par approche de l'axe de la base coulissante et par éloignement de celle-ci; un outil, tel qu'une matrice de filetage (33), agencé sur chaque élément; et un mécanisme d'alimentation (34) amenant sélectivement les éléments coulissants à se déplacer vers l'axe de la base coulissante, de sorte que lesdits outils coopèrent avec la pièce; et un mécanisme de renvoi (35) poussant les éléments à s'éloigner de l'axe de la base coulissante.
