The invention concerns a threaded joint for tubes designed in particular for oil and gas industry and tube assemblies produced from said joint. Said joint comprises a male element (1) arranged at the end of a first tube (3) and a female element (2) arranged at the end of a second tube (4). The male element is provided with an external taper thread and the female element (2) is provided with an internal taper thread corresponding to the male element thread. Central sealing means (9) formed by a male bearing surface and a female bearing surface, resting on each other and arranged respectively in a central zone of the male thread and the female thread where said threads have been interrupted, ensure the sealed condition when the joint is assembled. Said joint and tube assemblies produced from said joint are particularly useful through their sealing property towards high external pressures.
Le joint fileté pour tubes suivant l'invention est destiné notamment à l'industrie du pétrole et du gaz et aux assemblages de tubes réalisés à partir de ce joint. Ce joint comporte un élément mâle (1) disposé à l'extrémité d'un premier tube (3) et un élément femelle (2) disposé à l'extrémité d'un deuxième tube (4). L'élément mâle (1) est muni d'un filetage mâle conique extérieur et l'élément femelle (2) est muni d'un filetage femelle conique intérieur correspondant au filetage mâle. Un moyen d'étanchéité central (9) formé par une surface de portée mâle et une surface de portée femelle, en appui l'une sur l'autre et disposée respectivement dans une zone centrale du filetage mâle et du filetage femelle où lesdits filetages ont été interrompus, assure l'étanchéité du joint lorsque le joint est assemblé. C joint et les assemblages de tubes réalisés à partir de ce joint sont particulièrement intéressants du fait de leur étanchéité aux pressions extérieures élevées.
