A three-dimensional deep molded structure made from planar knits or wovens composed of homo-component, bicomponent or multi-component fibers having a fiber diameter of less than 100 microns and nonwovens composed of fibers or filaments of any size. Most suitably, nonwovens with a random fiber orientation distribution and a high degree of crimp with partially oriented fibers are preferred for use in forming the deep molded structure.

L'invention concerne une structure tridimensionnelle moulée en profondeur, faite à partir de tricots ou de tissus plans constitués de fibres à seul composant, à deux composants ou multicomposants qui présentent un diamètre de fibre inférieur à 100 microns, et de non-tissés constitués de fibres ou de filaments de taille quelconque. On utilise idéalement des non-tissés présentant une distribution d'orientation des fibres aléatoire, un degré élevé de contraction des fibres et des fibres partiellement orientées pour former la structure moulée en profondeur.
