ABSTRACT A game playing apparatus comprises at least three spaced, superposed grids. The centre grid defines 2n x 2n token-receiving locations and the adjacent grids define respectively (2n+1)(2n+1) and (2n-1)(2n-1) token-receiving locations, where n is an integer. The token-receiving locations for the different grids are in alignment. A player can form lines of tokens in three-dimensional space extending either on a common grid or between the superposed grids. The tokens are of two recognizable types, one for each player and a sufficient number are provided to cover all the token-receiving locations.
