Waterproof, breathable, flexible, seamless shaped articles, such as gloves or socks, which are comprised of a flexible layered composite comprising (a) a microporous thermoplastic polyester polyurethane or polyether polyurethane that is water vapor permeable, and (b) a hydrophilic nonporous copolymer that is waterproof but water vapor permeable which provides improved waterproofness to the microporous polymer layer.

Lesdits articles sont constitués par un composite souple et stratifié comprenant: (a) un polyuréthane de polyester ou de polyéther thermoplastique et microporeux, perméable à la vapeur d'eau, (b) un copolymère non poreux hydrophyle, imperméable à l'eau mais perméable à la vapeur d'eau, permettant d'améliorer l'étanchéité à l'eau de la couche polymère microporeuse.
