ABSTRACT This invention relates to a three-layer metal laminate consisting of only two different metals with different coefficients of thermal expansion in which the two outer layers consist of the same metal, yet of different thicknesses so that, on heating the metal laminate there arises a controlled bimetal effect. This controlled bimetal effect is utilized in thin-based vessels for hot food, in that the base remains flat on being heated.
