The invention concerns a novel road structure in which the bearing portion on top of the ground comprises three successive layers of bituminous material bonded with one another, viz.: a base layer which rests on the ground with optional insertion of a forming layer of thickness Hi such that: 4 cm </= Hi </= 10 cm. and of elastic modulus: Ei; a median layer of thickness Hm such that: 4 cm. </= Hm </= 20 cm. and of elastic modulus Em such that: 2000 MPa < EM < 8000 MPa; a top layer of thickness Hs such that: 4 cm. </= Hs < 10 cm. and of elastic modulus Es, said elastic moduli of said layers complying with relationship of inequality (a) and (b).
