The invention relates to a three- or four-wheeled, pedal-powered vehicle. According to the invention, the chassis (3) of the vehicle comprises a central beam (10) and at least one horizontal frame (11, 12) which is fixed to the front of the beam (10). Moreover, the aforementioned beam (10) comprises different elements of the vehicle, in particular the steering column (45) and a crankset (27) support (18) which is disposed level with, or slightly in front of or behind, the axle for the two front wheels (2) and which is mounted such that each pedal is located on one side of the beam (10). Said beam (10) is also connected to the rear wheel(s) (2). The frame(s) (11, 12) are dimensioned such that the user's feet and part of his/her legs are positioned inside the frame(s) during pedalling, said frame(s) forming on either side two stacked horizontal side members, to which one of the front wheels(s) (2) of the vehicle is mounted.
Selon l'invention, le châssis (3) de ce véhicule comprend une poutre centrale (10) et au moins un cadre horizontal (11, 12), fixé du côté de l'avant de la poutre (10) ; la poutre (10) comporte différents organes du véhicule, en particulier la colonne de direction (45) et un support (18) de pédalier (27) situéà hauteur de l'axe des deux roues avant, ou légèrement en avant ou en arrière de cet axe, et monté de telle sorte que chaque pédale soit située d'un côté latéral de la poutre (10), ladite poutre (10) étant en outre reliée à la ou aux roues arrières ; le ou les cadres (11, 12) ont des dimensions telles que les pieds et une partie des jambes de l'utilisateur sont situés à l'intérieur de ce ou ces cadres au cours du pédalage, ce ou ces cadres formant, sur chaque côté latéral, deux longerons horizontaux superposés, sur lesquels est montée l'une des roues (2) avant du véhicule.
