This device has a three-pole forced permanent magnet rotary wheel which can be actuated with a small electrical input to produce a powerful high torque. A plurality of permanent magnets referred to as wheel magnets, are mounted in a circular ring manner on the surface of a rotary wheel and they are located equidistant from one another and radially from the center of the rotary wheel. The total number of wheel magnets may be any even number equal to or greater than four depending on the space allowed on the rotary wheel. The polarities of the wheel magnets are alternately positioned juxtaposed to station magnets located adjacent to the rotary wheel. Each station magnet is mounted on a shaft which is, in turn, mounted on a main frame, and the shaft is rotatable by a DC twister. The total number of station magnets is an odd number, which is less than the total even number of the wheel magnets. The station magnets are equidistant from each other and are perpendicular to the respective neighboring wheel magnets. The polarities of the station magnets face towards the right and left sides, in front of the single pole of the neighboring wheel magnets. Each time a DC twister is activated to rotate its associated station magnet through 180 degrees or close to 180 degrees, the repelling and attracting magnetic forces between this station magnet and its neighboring wheel magnet causes the rotary wheel to rotate. A plurality of electrical conducting switches for activating all the twisters are located at specific points on the rotary wheel so that the station magnets are rotated sequentially for producing a continuous rotation of the rotary wheel.
