A compact, three-way ratchet drive mechanism selectively enables ratcheting operation in a clockwise direction, or an anti-clockwise direction, or disables ratcheting behaviour. The mechanism includes a ratchet housing, a drive shaft, a ratchet wheel, J- shaped pawls, and a coaxially fitted selector sleeve for selecting a desired mode of operation.

L'invention concerne un mécanisme d'entraînement à cliquet tridirectionnel compact activant de manière sélective un fonctionnement à cliquet dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre, ou dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d'une montre, ou désactivant la fonction à cliquet. Le mécanisme comprend un carter à cliquet, un arbre d'entraînement, une roue à cliquet, des cliquets d'arrêt en J, et un manchon sélecteur installé de manière coaxiale permettant de sélectionner un mode de fonctionnement souhaité.
