The invention is a biometric authentication system based on detecting the threshold of generation or perception of sensory phenomena, rather than on a full characterization of the match points of a biometric parameter. Sensory phenomena to which the invention is suited includes for example the generation by a user of the lowest and highest possible vocal frequencies, and the threshold of perception of low frequencies, high frequencies and low volume.
