An improved papermaker's fabric for use as a base fabric for a TAD belt or for the forming, pressing and dryer sections of a paper machine is disclosed. The fabric has a plurality of warp yarns interwoven with a plurality of weft yarns. Some warp yarns are of a first type weave and some others are of a second type weave. The first type warp yarns interweave with the weft yarns in a plain weave. Each second type warp yarn interweaves with the weft yarns by passing over and under successive pairs of adjacent weft yarns in a repeating pattern. The warp yarns alternates between the first and second type weaves. The second type warp yarns undulate in the machine direction between adjacent first type warp yarns to give the fabric a desired openness for providing effective mechanical interlocking between a cured resin and the warp and weft yarns.
Cette invention se rapporte à une toile pour machine à papier, conçue pour être utilisée comme toile de base pour une bande à séchage par air traversant (TAD) et également utilisable sur les sections de formage, de presse et de séchage d'une machine à papier. Cette toile comprend plusieurs fils de chaîne intertissés avec plusieurs films de trame (16). Les fils de chaîne sont de deux types. Ceux du premier type (14) sont tissés avec les fils de trame (16) en une armure unie, alors que ceux du second type (16) sont tissés avec les fils de trame (16) en une armure croisée 2x2. Les fils de chaîne du premier type (14) alternent avec ceux du second type (16), qui ondulent entre des fils adjacents du premier type, pour conférer à la toile l'ouverture souhaitée.
