THRUST BUSHING FOR VARIABLE RESISTANCE CONTROL Abstract of Disclosure A variable resistance control is used to vary resistance by manually rotating a shaft which carries a rotor, the rotor carrying electrical contacts which electrically bridge a resistance element and a collector. Better torque control is achieved when rotating the shaft by the use of a thrust bushing which surrounds the shaft and is trapped between the rotor and a bushing carrying the shaft.
