An improved jet engine thrust reverser that includes a sensor (52) to determined the rotational position of a motor (42). The system includes an actuator (28), a motor (42), motor position sensor (52), and an electronic control unit (44). The electronic control unit (44) converts the rotational position of the motor to thrust reverser reverser system using, for example, a summation algorithm (600) and reset logic. The summation algorithm (600) incrementally calculates absolute position of the thrust reverser from the sensed motor rotational position .

L'invention concerne un inverseur de poussée de turboréacteur comprenant un capteur (52) qui permet de déterminer la position de rotation d'un moteur (42). Le système comprend un actionneur (28), un moteur (42), un capteur de position (52) de moteur, et une unité de commande (44) électronique. Ladite unité de commande (44) électronique convertit la position de rotation du moteur en un système d'inverseur à l'aide, par exemple, d'un algorithme de totalisation (600) et d'une logique de remise à l'état initial. L'algorithme de totalisation (600) calcule la position absolue de l'inverseur par incrémentation à partir de la position de rotation du moteur captée.
