ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A thumb turn latch includes a latch body having a split shank snap-fitted in a stepped hole in a retainer. The stepped hole has a cam surface engageable with an enlarged foot on the split shank to urge the latch body toward the retainer.
