A tidal flow energy generation structure has a tubular framework including tubular node modules for mounting na-celles. The node modules have tubular limbs extending in transverse directions and elongate interconnecting tubes extending to interconnect with the tube limbs of the node modules. The node modules and the interconnecting elongate tubes are typically posi-tioned resting on or closely adjacent the seabed, the nacelles being mounted above the level of the node modules and interconnect-ing tubes.
