A simple invention to harness the forces associated with tide waters to produce electricity. It consists of a tub,a rack and pinion and pinion gears and electric generators, all of which are contained in a suitable enclosure that allow tide waters to enter and exit. The enclosure is wide enough to permit the tub to rise and fall with the tides but is restrained from moving about. As the tub rises and falls with the tides,a force is developed.I.E.,a tub measuring 200 ft.by 500 ft.by 6 ft.deep developes a force of 18,000 tons. The rack is fixed to a immovable vertical surface or to the ocean bottom bedrock.the pinion and gears are mounted on the tub.The pinion meshes with the rack and as water rises with the incoming tide the 18,000 tons of force is made to turn the pinion and its associated gears which in turn are made to turn generators to produce electricty which is fed to the local electric grid.
