Many disorders, especially neoplastic disorders such as cancer and polyps, are the result of hyperproliferative cells or of cells with differentiation disorders. For these types of disorders early detection is of pivotal importance and reliable and early biomarkers for common types of cancers such as colorectal cancer are still not available. Thus, there is a need for new markers and for methods for identifying such new markers. The invention provides peptides and proteins and derivatives thereof originating from transcription intermediary factor-1 beta (TIF1-beta) suitable as markers and therapeutics for disorders such as cancer, preferably colorectal cancerous or related disorders such as polyps.

Plusieurs troubles, notamment des troubles néoplasiques tels le cancer et polypes, sont le résultat de cellules hyperproliférantes ou de cellules avec des troubles de différenciation. Pour ces types de troubles la détection précoce est d'importance capitale et des biomarqueurs fiables et précoces pour des types communs de cancers tels que le cancer colorectal ne sont pas encore disponibles. Ainsi, il existe un besoin pour de nouveaux marqueurs et pour de nouveaux procédés pour l'identification de tels nouveaux marqueurs. L'invention a trait à des peptides et des protéines et leurs dérivés tirant leur origine d'un facteur de transcription intermédiaire 1-bêta (TIF1-bêta) appropriés en tant que marqueurs et agents thérapeutiques pour des troubles tels que le cancer, de préférence des troubles cancéreux colorectaux ou associés tels que des polypes.
