A railway Type H tightlock coupler locklift assembly (20) for coupling railway cars comprises a Type H rotary locklift toggle (30), a Type H rotary locklift lever (50), and a rivet (32) connecting the rotary locklift toggle (30) to the rotary locklift lever (50). The Type H rotary locklift lever (50) further comprises a standard flange or finger (52) for operatively engaging a coupler operating rod (18) and a second opposing flange or finger (54) that abuts the coupler operating rod (18). The second opposing flange or finger (54) prevents unintentional rotary motion of the rotary locklift lever (50) by acting on or abutting against the locked operating rod (18), thereby preventing unintentional uncoupling of the railway cars when the coupler components of such cars are struck by flying debris.

On décrit un ensemble lève-verrou d'attelage type H (20) à verrouillage hermétique servant à l'attelage de véhicules ferroviaires. Ledit ensemble comprend une bascule de lève-verrou rotative type H (30), un lève-verrou rotatif type H (50) et un rivet (32) couplant la bascule de lève-verrou rotative (30) au lève-verrou rotatif (50). Le lève-verrou rotatif type H (50) comprend en outre une bride ou doigt (52) de type classique en contact fonctionnel avec une tringle de manoeuvre d'attelage (18) et une deuxième bride ou doigt (54) opposée attenante à la tringle de manoeuvre d'attelage (18). Ladite deuxième bride ou doigt (54) opposée empêche un mouvement rotatif accidentel du lève-verrou rotatif (50) en pesant sur ou butant contre la tringle de manoeuvre (18) verrouillée, ce qui permet d'éviter un dételage accidentel des véhicules ferroviaires lorsque les éléments d'attelage desdits véhicules sont heurtés par des projections de débris.
