A flat building element substantially consists of a highly water-resistant wooden material plate (2) provided with a plastic coating (4) on at least part of its top and/or bottom surface (5, 3). This element is designed as a wall or floor tile. Grooves (8) and springs (10) are provided at the edge surface (7) to secure and join several elements. The width (b) of the springs (10) is preferably larger than the depth (t) of the grooves (8), ensuring a particular, uniform joint width (bf) between the elements.

Cet élément plat de construction est essentiellement constitué d'une plaque (2) en matériau dérivé du bois de haute résistance à l'eau pourvue d'un revêtement en plastique (4) sur au moins une partie de sa surface supérieure et/ou inférieure (5, 3). Cet élément a la forme d'un carreau pour murs ou planchers. Des rainures (8) et des ressorts (10) se situent sur la surface (7) des bords afin de fixer ou de relier plusieurs éléments. La largeur (b) des ressorts (10) est de préférence supérieure à la profondeur (t) des rainures (8), ce qui assure une largeur particulière uniforme (bf) des joints entre les éléments.
