A tiling insert includes an elongated body having two spaced side surfaces to respectively face edges of two tile disposed along the tiling insert with a gap defined between the two surfaces for partially receiving therein concrete mortar. A top member is mounted to top edges of the side surfaces to connect them together. A tiling method for use the tiling insert is also disclosed, comprising positioning a first tile on a mortared surface and positioning the tiling insert along one edge thereof. A second tile is then positioning along the tiling insert to have the tiling insert sandwiched between the two tiles. The top member of the tiling insert extends in both side to partially cover edge margins of the tiles so as to provide an aesthetic junction between the two tiles.
