ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A tilt limit detecting apparatus which includes an elongated vial containing an opaque liquid with a bubble therein and light source-photo transistor pairs at each end aligned to intersect the bubble when the vial is tilted and in which the vial has a cross section which results in the optical axes between the light sources and photo transistors intersecting the vial at an angle which at least approaches 90°.
