ABSTRACT The invention provides a tilting carrier conveyor system in which the orientation of the carrier is determined by the co-operation of a follower with a guide track. The follower is in the form of a fork 20, the track is in the form of a rail 18 and where the rail 18 is deflected to effect tilting of the carrier, the rail is skewed as at 27, to maintain a constant relationship between the limbs of the fork and the ribs of the rail.
