A B S T R A C T A conveyor system and transport member for use therein. Said conveyor system comprising a track, a transport member mounted upon and movable along said track, means for moving said transport member along said track, the transport member comprising a carriage having mounted thereon a tray with a discharge edge, said tray being mounted on the carriage so that it can rotate about a vertical axis and about a horizontal axis and means whereby rotation of the tray about the vertical axis effects rotation about the horizontal axis between a transport position in which the tray is horizontal with its discharge edge leading and a discharge position in which the tray is tilted with its discharge edge lowermost, to a location at the side of the track.
