TIME DELAY AND INTEGRATION IMAGER Abstract of the Disclosure A time delay and integration imager is a device used to obtain an image of a distant, relatively-moving object. The invention proposes an imager of the charge coupled type in which image resolution is increased by reducing the size of individual charge coupled sensing regions. This reduction can be achieved by using a combination of multi-phased ripple clocking and interlaced readout. - i -
