ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A Time Delay Switching Circuit for controlling the switching of an AC power source across a load. The switching circuit id comprised of a Triac in series with the AC power source and the load, means for holding the Triac in an ac- tuated condition to allow AC power to be supplied to the load, and timing means for generating a signal at the end of a predetermined time interval. The circuit is further comprised of mode selection means interposed between the timing means and the holding means for setting the switching circuit to either one of two operating modes. When the switching circuit is set in the first operating mode, the generated signal from the timing means causes the holding means to actuate the Triac and effect application of the AC power across the load at the end of the time interval. When the switching circuit is sat in the second operating modes, the generated signal from the timing means causes the holding means to deactuate the Triac and effect the disconnection of the AC power source from across the load at the end of the time interval.
