TIME EQUALIZATION APPARATUS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A system having a plurality of energy transmission elements which radiate energy to all locations of a bounded geography, has at least one selectively controlled time delay element interposed between the transmission elements and an analog signal source. By properly selecting the one or more time delays, the transmission elements provide a desired signal phase characteristic in the bounded geography. In particular, in a simulcast radio paging system,signal addition occurs in regions of overlapping transmitter coverage. Each delay element has a presettable, variable time delay and preferably employs a plurality of manually controlled two-state switching elements to set the delay, The switches are for example adapted to set a binary number to control a shift register clock rate, which in turn sets the delay time. The shift register, preferably an analog delay device, such as a charge transfer device, samples the analog input signal and stores it during the delay time, -1-
