A remote station, for a wireless communication system, includes a receiver configured to receive on a first downlink a synchronization control channel on a first carrier frequency and on a second downlink a shared physical channel on a second carrier frequency different than the first carrier frequency. The shared physical channel includes a first physical shared channel having a unicast signal and a second physical shared channel having a multicast or broadcast signal, the unicast signal being multiplexed in time with the multicast or broadcast signal. The remote station includes a control processor configured to generate an acknowledgement signal on an uplink based on the unicast signal. The multicast or broadcast signal is preferably an OFDM signal.
L'invention concerne une station à distance, pour un système de communication sans fil, comprenant un récepteur conçu pour recevoir sur une première liaison descendante un canal de commande de synchronisation sur une première fréquence porteuse et sur une seconde liaison descendante un canal physique partagé sur une seconde fréquence porteuse différente de la première fréquence porteuse. Le canal physique partagé comprend au moins un premier canal partagé physique comportant un signal à diffusion individuelle et un second canal partagé physique comportant un signal à diffusion sélective ou à diffusion générale, le signal à diffusion individuelle étant multiplexé dans le temps avec le signal à diffusion sélective ou à diffusion générale. La station à distance comprend également un processeur de commande conçu pour produire un signal d'accusé de réception sur une liaison ascendante sur la base du signal à diffusion individuelle. Le signal à diffusion sélective ou à diffusion générale est de préférence un signal OFDM.
