A method for limiting peak transmit power in a CDMA communication system by transmitting a first communication signal having a first high transmit power region, and transmitting a second communication signal having a second high transmit power region. A first and a second communication signal are time offset to prevent the first and second high transmit power regions from occurring simultaneously. Time shifting only a portion of the first and second communication signals is also taught. The first and second communication signals can also include respective first and second low transmit power regions. The time offset can be selected to align one of the first and second high transmit power regions with one of the first and second low transmit power regions. The total transmit power signal can be determined and the time offset can be selected to minimize a peak level of the total transmit power signal.
L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à limiter la puissance d'émission de crête dans un système de communication AMCR par l'émission d'un premier signal de communication possédant une première zone de puissance d'émission élevée et par l'émission d'un deuxième signal de communication possédant une deuxième zone de puissance d'émission élevée. Les premier et deuxième signaux de communication sont décalés dans le temps pour empêcher les première et deuxième zones de puissance d'émission élevée de survenir simultanément. Selon cette invention, on peut également décaler une seule partie des premier et deuxième signaux de communication. Les premier et deuxième signaux de communication peuvent également comprendre des zones respectives de faible puissance d'émission. On peut sélectionner un décalage dans le temps pour aligner la première ou la deuxième zones de puissance d'émission élevée sur la première ou la deuxième zones de faible puissance d'émission. On peut déterminer le signal total de puissance d'émission et le décalage dans le temps pour réduire au minimum une puissance d'émission de crête du signal total de puissance d'émission.
