The present invention provides a time-temperature integrating indicator having an amorphous material in operable contact with a porous matrix, wherein the amorphous material only migrates into the porous matrix at or above a predetermined temperature. Use of the invention simplifies monitoring of the cumulative temperature exposure of the product because no additional actuation step is required. The indicator is especially useful in monitoring the cumulative time-temperature exposure of a perishable product for a short period of time at an abusive temperature.

L'invention se rapporte à un indicateur intégrateur temps-température, constitué d'un matériau amorphe placé en contact utile avec une matrice poreuse, le matériau amorphe migrant dans la matrice poreuse uniquement à partir d'une température prédéterminée. L'indicateur selon l'invention permet de simplifier le contrôle de l'exposition cumulée temps-température du produit, étant donné qu'il ne requiert aucune étape d'actionnement supplémentaire. Ledit indicateur sert en particulier à contrôler l'exposition cumulée temps-température d'un produit périssable pendant une courte période de temps à une température excessive.
