A sample should be available by January or February. At this time an article or correspondence from our dentist supporting the necessity for such an instrument will most probably be available. AN ABSTRACT THIS MANUALLY OPERABLE DENTAL EXTRACTOR IS NEW IN SENSE OF BEING FUNCTIONALLY SMALL ENOUGH TO ASSIST IN CLEAN UP (MOST VITAL CLEAN UP OPERATIONS) IN THE EVENT OF A COMPLICATED EXTRACTION INVOLVING NOT ONLY A BROKEN CROWN BUT THE POSSIBILITY OF SPLINTERED TOOTH AND BONE LEADING TO TINY SOMETIMES UNDISCOVERED PARTICLES BEING TRAPPED IN THE GUM. THE ACCOMPANYING NEEDLE SIZE PROBE AND ONE EDGE CUTTING (EXTRA SMALL BLADE WIDTH FOR TINY AREAS) KNIFE MIGHT ASSIST IN SUCH OPERATIONS IF THEY ARE NECESSARY AFTER THE CLOSING OF THE GUM. THE STAINLESS STILL TWEEZER FUNCTION EXTRACTOR WOULD CONSIST OF THE WIDTH OF A LARGE DARNING NEEDLE (THROUGH POSSIBLY A THICKER SIZE COULD BE USEFUL IN LESS DELICATE OPERATIONS). THE LENGTH OF THE EXTRACTOR END OF THE EXTRACTOR MIGHT VARY AS WELL AS THE HANDLES. THE HANDLES MIGHT BE RUBBER COATED FOR BETTER GRIPPING AND WHERE POSSIBLE THE EXTRACTOR TIPS WHICH GRIP THE TOOTH PARTICLE MIGHT BE COVERED BY DISPOSEABLE TINY TIPS OF ADHESIVE COTTON TO INSURE TRACTION. Image THIS EXTRACTOR HAS A TWEEZER FUNCTION AND IS THUS MANUALLY OPERABLE BUT IS SMALL ENOUGH COMING IN SEVERAL POTENTIAL SIZES. THE MOST PRACTICAL SIZE IS ILLUST ILLUSTRATED BELOW. THE WIDTHES OF THE EXTRACTOR SECTION VARIES FROM THE MOST PRACTICAL. Image
