A projectile (110) is provided with a projectile tip (120) having enhanced aerodynamic properties to improve accuracy of the projectile. The tip has a body having a base or lower end (128), an upper end (133) and a curved, side wall (163) between its upper and lower ends that defines an ogive tip length. The tip is received with a projectile jacket (140) and also can have a series of aerodynamic fea-tures (155) formed in its body to modify air flow about the body of the projectile in flight.

La pointe comporte un corps présentant une base ou une extrémité inférieure, une extrémité supérieure, et une paroi latérale incurvée située entre l'extrémité supérieure et l'extrémité inférieure et définissant une pointe en ogive.
